Doing laundry can be bad for the environment. When washing synthetic clothing, microplastics are released into the water. Under the guidance of an interdisciplinary UvA Sustainability Platform team, one hundred citizen researchers analyzed their laundry for three months. SPUI magazine published an article on the research and results.
