What politicians and society expect from science is changing rapidly. They openly ask what scientists do for society, what they do to reverse climate change and to stop our environment from becoming even more polluted. Chris Slootweg is one of the researchers that does just that: creating impact!

Chris Slootweg is Associate Professor Physical Organic Chemistry at the Faculty of Science and Associate of the UvA Sustainability Platform USP. Chris and his colleagues focus on the development of circular chemistry to solve waste issues. New findings such as large scale hydrogen storage can be of great use, for example for the Port of Amsterdam. In the video below he talks about his latest research project.
